Scott started roofing after leaving school and served a six year apprenticeship with time-served master craftsmen. In 1992 he established Scott Fisher Roofing and quickly earned a reputation for professionalism and attention to detail. Scott’s personal involvement with every job guarantees the highest possible standards of workmanship.
We specialise in bespoke roofing work, using natural materials worked with traditional tools, to achieve a quality finish. Scott is also an excellent carpenter and can fashion new wooden trusses or reproduce existing ones. We undertake work on a wide range of properties and have worked extensively on listed and historic buildings including churches, barns and village halls. We are happy to liaise with architects at the planning stage and with Building Control thereafter. Of course, we also undertake repair work and Scott can liaise with your insurance loss adjustor if required.
As a mark of quality, Scott sites his trademark black cat atop the ridges of new roofs or re-roofs. These little cats can be seen throughout the Dales and tell you the roof beneath has been produced by a master craftsman. Alternatively, we can give you the location of public buildings with a Scott Fisher roof (remember to look out for the little black cat!).
